BE A FRIEND TO A PERSON IN CRISIS

 
     Prisoners in jail are people going through a crisis.  They need someone who is willing to show them that they care and are willing to listen. 

     The P-2 Project needs people who are solid citizens, are active in church and community, can abide by the regulations of a controlled setting, and are willing to commit to weekly jail visits.  This is a One-to-One Jail Visitation Program.  Men visit men, women visit women.  The guidelines for this program have been set up to protect the privacy and safety of the volunteers as well as out of respect for the prisoners.    Volunteer personal information is not given out to the inmates. We use our first names only.   All visits are done through video monitor and telephone.  Volunteers go through a Training Session prior to visits to make sure they understand the program.  If you would like to make a positive difference in an inmates life, please prayerfully consider joining this program.  Thank you.
