Ministry of Advocacy:

The Association of Christian Churches of South Dakota started in November 1971.  Its Board of Directors consisted of the Judicatory heads of 10 Christian Denominations.  See  Membership

The Association is designed to discover and further the unity we have in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, to make that unity manifest, to help fulfill Christ's mission and to do those things that we may together do more effectively.

There are a number of ministries that are independent of the Association, but have a relationship with it.  These ministries heed Christ's admonishment to reach out to the poor and the disenfranchised.

There are issues, both social and political that the Church must comment on, in order to be the Church.  All of the members of the Association do not take the same position on all of issues.  The Association advocates for those positons the members agree on.
