It is suggested that everyone annually check with your long distance provider and ask for the cheapest rate.  Also, check all phone bills, both local and long distance services, to make sure you are not being incorrectly billed.  Recently the ACC/SD received a flier which stated,  "The Federal Access Charge increased from $4.35 to $5.00 for the main residential phone line and for customers with a single business line."  The ACC/SD was being charged $8.41 for a single business line.  In checking we were informed that we were being billed for a telephone number at a separate location.  Since the bill did not indicate this, we questioned how we would know this.  The response was, "Ask us."  The ACC/SD was reimbursed.

The Mentor Mom Program matches young mothers, either pregnant or parenting, with a caring, committed mentor who is also a mother.  Pregnancy and parenting are times filled with many questions, and many of the young women in the Mentor Mom Program have not one to help with their questions.  That is what the Mentor Mom program is all about.  If you are interested in being a mentor to a young mom, contact the Mentor Mom Program at the HELP!Line Center (334-6646 or amyp@helplinecenter.org.)  This program is available in Sioux Falls and approximately within 25 mile area.  Check if similar programs are available in your area.
