 President's Annual Report - 2001

Greetings from the Association of Christian Churches!!

The ecumenical story of the Association of Christian Churches of South Dakota is a story of great leadership and great courage. From mediating between disputing parties to helping in great tragedies, people from all faiths have joined together in the state of South Dakota.

Those of you in rural areas today are especially seeing the fruits of the ecumenical process. Many rural churches are regularly cooperating in serving their communities with food banks, thrift shops, joint vacation Bible schools, and also now the sharing of pastors that cross denominational lines.

Truly, the ecumenical movement has gone local. The cooperation of executives and bishops from various churches have set the example that churches are following to keep the church active and strong across South Dakota.

Our gathering of Christians on June 7 and 8, 2002 in Sioux Falls, SD is witness to that reality. Let us think of what we can do Together in Christ.   If you have interest in any of our ongoing ministries or ideas on how ecumenical cooperation can help your community, call us, write us, or e-mail us at office@accsd.org.

What a glorious future we can have together in Christ!!
