"BRIDGING THE GAP THROUGH FRIENDSHIP"

 
Prisoners are people. The M-2 program needs people who are solid citizens, are active in church and community, can establish a relationship with someone who is incarcerated, and can abide by the regulations of a controlled setting. By visiting regularly, visitors from "the outside" are important because they can help their inmate friend establish or re­-establish a positive image of self, help bridge gaps with society, and help their friends re-enter society when they leave the institution. M-2 sponsors are valuable because they have found forgiveness and are at peace with God, with others, and with themselves, and are willing to offer forgiveness to others. Because the people here represent a variety of interests, M-2 sponsors who represent various vocations and interesting hobbies can have meaningful communications. Prison visitation is Kingdom work.
